Description

The Office of State Fire Marshal is pleased to announce that the 2017 SERC/LEPC Conference is coming back to Seaside, Oregon May 22-24.

Purpose: This conference is the perfect opportunity to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA) and how Oregon is addressing it. It will be particularly helpful if your county does not yet have an LEPC in place. This conference will provide valuable information and ideas to assist you in that development. The conference also provides a great opportunity for networking with people from across the state involved in LEPC activities, emergency planning, and response to hazardous materials incidents.

Conference topics include: LEPC 101, HazMat Rail Response Planning, EPCRA Update, Improving Chemical Safety and Security, LEPCs in Oregon, CR2K Resources, HMEP Grant Workshop, and more. We will also be hosting the 3rd meeting of the SERC Executive Committee after the adjournment of the conference.

Audience: LEPC members, emergency managers, first responders, hazmat team members, and representatives of an industry that possesses extremely hazardous substances (EHS).

Registration Fee: There is no cost to register for this conference.

Meals Included: Lunch will be provided on Tuesday, May 23rd.

Lodging: A limited number of scholarships are available to pay for lodging and mileage expenses related to attendance, so be sure to get your registration in right away.
